Matias Sebastian Lopez Chacon, MD, is a pediatric neurologist and neuromuscular specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He specializes in the diagnosis and longitudinal care of children with inherited and acquired neuromuscular disorders, including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and other peripheral neuropathies.
The clinic has particular expertise in complex neuromuscular care, multidisciplinary clinic models, and advanced diagnostics. He is actively involved in clinical research, newborn screening advocacy, and the implementation of emerging therapies for neuropathies.
