Apply to be a CMTA Center of Excellence
The CMTA Center of Excellence designation is awarded to neuromuscular neurologists who specialize in CMT care. If you are a neuromuscular specialist with the following criteria, we invite you to apply.
CMTA Center of Excellence Criteria:
- Clinic director is a neurologist with a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine
- Clinic director sees 15 or more CMT patients annually
- Clinic is multi-disciplinary, providing the range of CMT services and therapies
- Clinic is accepting new patients, with an appointment wait time of six months or less
- Clinic distributes CMTA CMT patient education materials
- Clinic director, or another COE provider, speaks at a local CMTA patient education meetings and participates in a local CMTA walk event annually
- Clinic Director attends the annual CMTA Centers of Excellence Clinic Directors meeting (virtual)
- Clinic completes a short patient statistics form once a year
- Clinic Director is a member of the Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS) and attends the organization’s annual meetings
