David Herrmann is Chief of the Neuromuscular Division and Vice Chair for Strategic Initiatives in the Department of Neurology at URMC. Clinically, his interests are in the diagnosis and care of patients with various types of peripheral neuropathy. He has a particular interest in inherited neuropathies (Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy and related disorders), for which he leads one of the largest multidisciplinary clinical and research programs in the United States. Dr. Herrmann further established one of the earliest cutaneous innervation laboratories in the United States for the diagnosis of small fiber neuropathy.
