Kim Magee

Kim has the distinction of being CMTA’s longest-serving employee. She joined what was then a three-person operation in 2007 and still jokingly refers to herself as “the CMTA office.” Kim oversees all financial and administrative functions, including donations, grants, accounting, and HR. She holds an associate degree from Keystone Business School and a BA in accounting from Neumann University. She began her career in 1987, keeping books and computerizing office systems for small companies.

CMTA was Kim’s first nonprofit role, and she earned her Certification in Nonprofit Accounting in 2013 and Advanced CNAP in 2020. She chose to move into mission-driven work because she wanted to contribute to something that makes people’s lives better.

When Kim isn’t counting money, she’s counting stitches. She crochets blankets for friends, family, and even raffles one off each year for the Philadelphia Walk 4 CMT.
