Dr. Kleopas Kleopa is a Professor at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics with expertise in neuromuscular disorders, neuroscience, and gene therapy. He provides multidisciplinary care for CMT patients and educates clinicians and scientists on all aspects of CMT coordinating the Neuroscience MSc/PhD Program. He leads the Neuroscience Department focusing on CMT research, with pioneering cell-targeted gene therapies for different CMT neuropathies, currently being developed for clinical translation in collaboration with industry. He serves as CMTR Board Member and in several Patient Associations Scientific Advisory Boards. He chairs the European Reference Networks Working Groups on gene therapy, neuropathies and leukodystrophies.
