Lars Knutsen leads Discovery Pharma Consulting LLC, an R&D Consulting group based both in West Chester, USA and Cambridge, UK, providing strategic Drug Discovery and IP expertise. His background is in small molecule drug design/medicinal chemistry. Lars has been in neuroscience research for over three decades, focusing on epilepsy, stroke, pain, cognition, neuromuscular disease and neurodegeneration. He has worked at Glaxo, Novo Nordisk, Vernalis, Ionix Pharmaceuticals, Cephalon and NMD Pharma. He was closely involved with the invention and development of many clinical drug candidates, including: Gabitril, V2006, Irdabisant and NMD670/NMD1343. NMD670 is currently in clinical trials for treatment of CMT.
