Mary Louie
Mary Louie is CMTA’s National Events Manager, leading efforts to grow the Walk & Cycle 4 CMT program and community events. She first connected with CMTA in 2009 during her first pregnancy, when her symptoms progressed, and she joined the Portland, Maine, Branch. Since then, she has served as a Branch leader, launched the first Peaks Island Walk 4 CMT in 2013, and become a dedicated advocate and fundraiser. Prior to joining CMTA, Mary worked in health care as a coordinator and administrative assistant.
Raised in a large family with CMT, Mary brings a deep personal connection to her role. She is committed to helping others feel seen, supported, and hopeful as they navigate their own CMT journey.
Mary lives in Maine with her family and enjoys sailing on the bay, sampling new bakeries, and exploring the beauty of her home state. She has completed two full marathons (one in AFOs) and swum the 2.4-mile Peaks to Portland open‑water race four times.
