The Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA), the world’s largest philanthropic funder of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) research, is proud to announce the designation of Jaya Trivedi, MD, Vice Chair for Ambulatory Operations and External Relations at the University of Texas Southwestern (UT Southwestern) Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, as its newest CMTA Center of Excellence.
Dr. Trivedi is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty certification in Neuromuscular Medicine and Clinical Neurophysiology. She has extensive expertise in inherited neuropathies and has participated in multiple landmark clinical trials. Her research spans skeletal muscle channelopathies, hereditary neuropathies, and neuromuscular disorders, with publications ranging from natural history studies in non-dystrophic myotonia to clinical insights that have received national attention. In addition to her clinical and research leadership, Dr. Trivedi directs the Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship Program and organizes major continuing medical education (CME) conferences, mentoring the next generation of neuromuscular specialists.
