CMTA Films presents Jonah Berger, CMTA’s National Youth Programs Manager, as he shares his journey of living with CMTX1 (also known as CMT1X or CMTX) and the power of community. Inviting us into his home, Jonah opens up about the challenges of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and how he overcomes them with optimism, a positive mindset, and adaptive technologies.

A passionate advocate for the CMT community, Jonah finds purpose in building connections and creating spaces where others feel supported, especially through CMTA’s Camp Footprint, where he serves as camp director. Inspired by his parents, including his father, a longtime camp director and youth leader, Jonah carries forward a legacy of leadership, inclusion, and encouragement for young people with CMT.

Jonah’s journey is a testament to the power of connection, support, and resilience. At CMTA, community is everything, and through programs like Camp Footprint, Jonah ensures that no one has to face life with CMT alone.

At CMTA, Community Is Everything!
