The Austin, TX CMTA Branch is for those who have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and their loved ones. We welcome you to join this vibrant group of active and caring individuals in your area to share resources, ideas, CMT-related information, and personal experiences and to, ultimately, build life-long friendships and support. Meetings will focus on CMT education, awareness, research updates, fundraising initiatives, advocacy, and current events and will include guest speakers. We love newcomers and hope you will join us at our next meeting!

Branch Leader Picture
Nate was diagnosed with CMT more than 20 years ago, but only recently began experiencing increased physical issues from it. He lives in Austin, Texas, with his girlfriend Carmen and his cat Lefty. He moved to Austin in 1991 to attend the University of Texas, where he got his accounting degree. Nate enjoys walking, gardening, collecting Macs, collecting old staplers, listening to music, collecting comics, playing Wii golf, and soup. He also enjoys joking around and being positive. He has worked at Apple for the last 17 years and is currently a system testing lead. Nate is excited to help start a new branch in Austin to spread awareness of CMTA resources and to provide a forum for to the CMT community to share information.
