• Weakness in fingers and hands
• Difficulty with fine motor tasks, such as using buttons and zippers
• Difficulty opening jars
• Decreased grip strength
• Absence of development or loss of muscle bulk in hands and forearms
• Curling fingers
• Decreased sensation or loss of feeling in hands and up the arms
• Tremor
• Overall fatigue
• Joint and/or nerve pain
• Hearing loss
• Breathing difficulties
• Sleep apnea
• Scoliosis (curved spine)
• Kyphosis (round back)
In nerves where the myelin sheath and/or the
nerve fiber (axon) is damaged, the nerve conduction
velocity (NCV) can be slowed and impulses may not
reach the targeted muscles, resulting in muscular
weakness/atrophy and sensory loss.
